Here’s some DIY that I did. I use a Petzl Basic on my foot for my ropewalker system. I had trouble with the plastic lever catching my opposite foot and opening up. It’s not fun to step down on to nothing when you are hundreds of feet off the deck. I fixed it by filing, sanding and grinding down the part that sticks out. It works much better. It hasn’t come off since. These pics compare the plastic handle before and after.
